Afro-Christian Fellowship

Celebrate Faith and Culture with the Afro-Christian Fellowship (ACF)

Campus Ministry offers Black students and students of African descent a vibrant community where students can experience a sense of belonging and share the joy of their Christian faith.

Join us as we gather over the table, pray, sing together, dance, and share cultural faith traditions. Afro Christian Fellowship meets monthly at Campus Ministry. Although tailored to Black and African students, all are welcome.

"ACF has created a safe and welcoming space on campus for me to connect with fellow Christians from similar ethnic backgrounds to praise and worship God, read, share and understand the scriptures. Through ACF I feel seen and welcomed not just at campus ministry but at campus as a whole. It helps me deepened my faith and relationship with God while also including my culture - both my faith and culture are big part of my identity so being able to embrace both in a shared space with others is an amazing feeling and I thank ACF for that."

Spiritual Support and Faith Activities

ACF provides space for reflection, prayer, and spiritual growth through faith small groups and our ACF evening retreat.

Other events include outings for African Thanksgiving and Easter at a local Parish.

Monthly Worship and Fellowship Gatherings

Usually meeting on the second Friday of the month (with some exceptions during the year) in the evening.

Join us for a meal and faith sharing in Campus Ministry. Our gatherings are welcoming joyful space to grow in your faith along other peers, usually accompanied with singing and dancing.

Student Perspective

"ACF has given me a sense of belonging at St. Thomas. I now have a community of friends I can have fun with and believers that I can rely on. I am truly grateful for this!"
